Abstract : Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT) to be flown on ASTROSAT will provide important low energy (0.3 - 8.0 keV) spectral information for the X-ray sources and locate them to an arcmin accuracy. In addition, it will be able to image diffuse X-ray emission from extended sources. SXT comprising of a grazing incidence telescope with 2m focal length and a Focal Plane Camera with a cooled CCD was calibrated on ground. The results of this calibation - energy resolution, spatial resolution, charge transfer inefficiency, low energy noise and the effect of temperature on these parameters will be presented.
