Abstract Type : Poster Abstract Category : Stars, The Milky Way Galaxy and its neighbours Abstract : Synthesis of Li and B in astrophysical environments is still an area of intensive study. In this work, attempt is made to understand the production of these two elements in type II supernovae (SN II) environment. Here neutral current neutrino interaction is considered in the He – zone of SN II progenitors of 8, 10 and 20 solar masses. The yield is found to be high for the low mass progenitors in comparison to that of the higher mass progenitors. The results are compared with those of some existing models and the consistency is critically discussed. |
