Abstract : We present preliminary results of a deep broadband photometric survey of zenith sky at latitude (29.4 deg) of Nainital. The aim of the survey is to generate fainter standard stars in the 30 arcmin strip of the zenith sky. This data can be used for a wide variety of astronomical topics as well as technical characterization of telescope and instruments. This limited zenith sky survey is being done at broad-band VRI filters using 1k x 1k CCD mounted with the 104-cm telescope, the work involves observation-calibration of the photometric images, classification of objects (point source and extended source), the sensitivity determination of zenith sky and preparation of a unique standard catalog. In this contribution, we describe strategy for this survey.
