Abstract : We are investigating a multi-parameter methodology approach based on the simultaneous use of Hillas image parameters, fractal and wavelet parameters on a Monte-Carlo simulated database of Cerenkov images recorded by the TACTIC telescope. Such studies become important in ground based gamma-ray astronomy for an effective rejection of huge background and improving the detected signal from the source within the energy range of some hundred GeV to few TeV. Some features of Cherenkov photons at various core distances for TeV energies will be exploited by these parameters and expected to provide better segregation efficiency of gamma-ray initiated events from hadron initiated events. The study will provide an accurate and independent measurement of gamma initiated events by using such parameters tools from these analysis procedures. We derive a preliminary value of the relevant significance for gamma initiated events using these parameters.
