Abstract : | BL Lac obhects are a violently variable class of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) known as blazars. These objects show intra-day variability which is basically explained by the relativistic motion of plasma in jets extending on even Mpc scales. We present the results for R-band intra-night variability (IDV) for 9 nights using 1.04 cm ST and 1.3m DFOT, ARIES, Manora peak, Nainital data. Based on nested ANOVA test, BL Lac is found to show IDV for 8 nights, while power enhanced F-test gives variability for 7 days. |
