Abstract : | This study titled 'Nearly fifty years of sunspot group tilt angle observed from DPD white-light data and its relationship with the polar field' addresses a crucial aspect of solar physics by examining the characteristics of sunspot tilt angles around 50 years of DPD sunspot group data.Sunspot tilt angles are of paramount importance in understanding the dynamics of the Sun's global magnetic field and play a pivotal role in the Babcock-Leighton type dynamo. We find systematic decrease in the magnitude of tilt angles over time and hints at a possible 22-year cycle in sunspot tilt angles |
