Abstract : Studying the reverberation lags with respect to the flux in AGNs provides the structure of an inner region of the accretion disk in AGNs. We studied the lag spectra at two different flux variations in the AGN Mrk 704 using XMM-Newton data. We extracted the frequency lag spectra and noted soft lags at frequency ~10^-3 Hz associated with high flux whereas a hard lag was observed when the source was low flux state. However, the difference in the lag amplitudes is not significant. We fitted the spectra of both low and high flux states with the blurred reflection model and found no significant change in the respective spectral parameters. It is an interesting phenomenon because the reflection model predicts that in the high flux state, the lags must be higher than the corresponding lags exhibited in the low flux state. We also tried the lamppost model i.e. Relixlllcpc model and discussed the observed discrepancy.
