Abstract : In the context of the f(R) gravity model defined by the function $$f(R) =\frac{R^(1+\delta)}{R^\delta_c} , we embark on an exploration of Gravitational Waves (GWs). Our approach involves implementing the weak field approximation and investigating the polarization characteristics of these GWs. Notably, gravitational waves within this framework exhibit an additional polarization mode in addition to the standard TT (Transverse-Traceless) mode when considering the weak field approximation limit. To gain insights into this extra polarization mode, we delve into the influence of the scalaron mass and the effective potential associated with the scalaron field. This examination sheds light on how these factors affect the polarization properties of gravitational waves in the f(R) gravity model.
