Abstract : MAST is a 50 cm solar telescope obtains spectroscopic observations of the Ca 8542 and Fe 6173 spectral lines using FP based narrow-band imager. Ca II 8542 observations are used to retrieve atmsopheric parameters of the chromosphere using inversion codes. NICOLE is non-LTE inversio codes that is used to obtain the atmospheric parameters such as temperature, velocity etc as function of optical depth. However, of the interest is to obtain temperature stratification alone NLTE-CAISAR is best suited in terms of execution time. In this work, we compare the results obtained from the codes using observations from MAST.
