Nature of work is mainly VIR hyperspectral data (from NASA Dawn mission) processing and calibration, and then analysis of the surface composition/mineralogy (clay minerals, water-ice, organics, ammoniated-clays) and also trying to model the physico-chemical and geologic condition.
QUALIFICATION: MSc/MTech Geology/Geophysics/Physics/Chemistry with NET/GATE/JEST
DESIRABLE: Python programming; Knowledge in Spectroscopy/Physical-chemistry/Mineralogy
FELLOWSHIP: ₹31,000/- pm plus HRA (as per rules)
Deadline: 21st Feb, 2024
The post is offered initially for 6 months but extension after the review (Max Planck project upto 2026). Pursuing PhD through the project is possible after getting qualified at NISER PhD interview against the advertisement/regulations.

QUALIFICATION: BSc/BTech Geology/Geophysics/Physics/Chemistry
DESIRABLE: Python programming
FELLOWSHIP: ₹20,000/- pm plus HRA (as per rules)
