The deadline for receiving application for the position of JRF position in Chandrayaan-2 science project
funded by ISRO/DoS at NISER has been extended till 21st Feb 2024.

Nature of work is mainly satellite data/image (hyperspectral image) processing and calibration, and then analysis of the surface composition/mineralogy and also trying to model the physico-chemical and geologic conditions.
QUALIFICATION: MSc Geology/Geophysics/Physics/Chemistry with NET/GATE/JEST
DESIRABLE: Python programming; Knowledge in Spectroscopy/Physical-chemistry/Mineralogy/Geochemistry
FELLOWSHIP: ₹31,000/- pm plus HRA (as per rules)
Deadline: (extended upto) 21st Feb, 2024

The post is offered initially for 6 months but extension after the review (Max Planck project upto 2026, and ISRO project upto 2025). Pursuing PhD through the project is possible after getting qualified at NISER PhD interview against the advertisement/regulations.
