We started our journey last equinox, and, judging from the number of subscribers so far, the response has been very encouraging. In the meantime, there have been exciting news from the frontiers of gravitational wave astronomy and X-ray astronomy, in which astronomers from India have played crucial roles.
In this issue, we have introduced a new column, of the news from groups/institutes/universities in India involved in outreach activities in astronomy. There are certainly more groups than we have featured here, and we would like to request the readers to spread the word, so that other groups can contact us and we can showcase their activities in this forum.
We welcome the readers to write to us with their suggestions for the existing columns, or about something new that would enrich the newsletter. Contributions are also welcome for the feature of experimental activities for students. In the future, we would like to publish the descriptions of experiments for three groups— for students in schools, undergraduate colleges and universities.
