At present, about twenty PhDs are carrying out education, research, and observation in the field of solar astronomy in Korea. The history and recent activities of the Korean solar community are briefly reviewed in this paper. We expect that the current efforts of Korean solar astronomers contribute to the promotion of cooperative solar research in the Asian-Pacific countries.
