Indian Astronomy satellite, code named ASTROSAT is designed to carry out multiwavelength studies of a variety of galactic and extragalactic sources from ultraviolet band (1000-3000 Å) to soft and hard X-ray bands in the range 0.3 to 100 keV. Five dierent payloads presently under development will achieve the above mission targets.
