Abstract : The study of Initial Mass Function (IMF) is important to understand star formation. The role of external feedback in the form of luminosity function and initial mass function is yet to be understood. In this study, we present the luminosity functions and initial mass functions of 10 young clusters of age 2 to 3 Myr which are embedded in massive stellar environments. These clusters are selected based on their well defined pre-main sequence band in J vs J-H color-magnitude diagrams, which essentially implies uniform reddening within the clusters. We use the deep near-IR archival data from United Kingdom Infrared Deep Sky Survey (UKIDSS), Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA) and Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO) in 1.2, 1.6 and 2.2 micrometer pass-bands along with GAIA DR2 data for the analysis. We study the luminosity functions and initial mass functions of these clusters down to the brown dwarf limit in order to understand the role of massive stellar feedback in the formation and evolution of young clusters.
