Abstract : We consider an early Universe model, which contains a Galileon Complex scalar field coupled to an Electromagnetic field. In the FRW background, the complex scalar behaves like a real scalar, and the electromagnetic field vanishes. Thus, inflation is driven by the real Galileon Scalar field. However, in the presence of scalar metric perturbations, the scalar field is complex, and the electromagnetic field has non-zero contributions. Due to the coupling of the scalar and electromagnetic fields, the model produces a non-zero magnetic field during inflation. We discuss the implications of the magnetic field generation in this model and compare it with constraints from cosmological observations.
