Abstract : Open clusters have important bearing on studies related to star formation and Galactic evolution as the higher mass stars tend to move towards core region with time due to dynamical evolution. The initial mass function (IMF) is the most fundamental output of the star formation process. One of the important question in the field of star formation is the role of stellar feedback on the subsequent star formation process. The evolution of HII regions can trigger a new generation of stars at their peripheries, with environmental conditions that may affect the IMF, disk evolution and star formation efficiency. In this work, we study the stellar content and star formation processes in the young cluster waterloo 01, which is situated in the neighborhood of star forming region Sh-208. To study the large scale environment of the cluster, we used optical data from HCT 2m telescope of hanle INDIA, with multi-wavelength data sets.
