Abstract

We present the characteristics of Coronal Mass Ejections associated with X-ray flares and type II radio burst during 23rd solar cycle. These CMEs are classified into two groups based on flare duration. Group I events are associated with short duration flares (≤ 1 hr) and Group II events are associated with long duration flares (> 1 hr). From the results, group I events are decelerated more than group II events.
