Abstract

A short review is presented of the Dark Ages, Cosmic Dawn and Epoch of Reionization (EoR), in particular focussing on (planned) studies via the redshifted hydrogen 21-cm hyperfine transition. Current constraints on the EoR and current interferometric experiments (with the GMRT, MWA, PAPER and LOFAR) to detect the 21-cm brightness temperature are discussed and a forward look it presented on the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) and how how it can revolutionize this field from statistical (e.g. power-spectra) to tomographic (e.g. image-cube) analyses.
