Abstract : We explore the implications of advance of periastron for binary pulsars having tiny orbital eccentricities. It turns out that certain terms neglected in the widely used timing model for binary pulsars having tiny orbital eccentricities should not be omitted for binaries exhibiting substantial periastron precession. Our investigations reveal that inclusion of these terms may allow one to constrain the apsidal motion constant from long term monitoring of a number of detected binary pulsars.
