Abstract : About a hundred early-type galaxies with blue optical colors in the redshift range 0.02 - 0.05 are known to have high rate of nuclear star formation. Such galaxies are rare in the nearby Universe and constitute a unique sample to study triggering mechanism and rejuvenation of star formation in otherwise passively evolving galaxies. The median star formation rate of the sample is nearly 6 M_sun per year. Our radio study of this sample reveals possible roles of bulge via stellar velocity dispersion and AGN activities in regulating star formation in these galaxies. In terms of the integrated properties as assessed from total far-infrared and radio luminosity, and equipartition magnetic field strength, these early-type galaxies are not different from the late-type galaxies. A review of various properties of these galaxies as understood by multi-wavelength observations will be presented.
