Abstract : CLASS X ray spectrometer onboard the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter generate time tagged event list from each of the sixteen swept charge devices (SCDs) which is stored as a data packet onboard. The data recieved in this raw format at the Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC) is then processed to a L0 format and transferred to the paylaod operation centre. The time tagged events from each SCD is binned to generate spectra at 8 second interval to match the time required for ground pixel coverage . The calibration parameters of each SCD is taken into account and the spectra added across the detectors to yield a combined X ray spectrum. We describe teh algorithms used at each stage of processing, implementation in the pipeline and conversion to PDS4 standard which is then archived for public release.
