Abstract : The primary goal of large survey project "MeerKAT Absorption Line Survey" (MALS) is to carry out a dust-unbiased search of HI and OH absorption lines and better determine the occurrence of atomic and molecular gas in galaxies and their circumgalactic medium. The observations are well underway (~500 hrs completed; raw data 0.5 PB). I will introduce key science themes and data processing challenges of the survey, and present early science results based on MALS, and uGMRT/SALT follow-ups.
