This feedback, in turn, can affect the activity of AGN. However, observational evidence for such feedback effects is very limited. The emission in the ultra-violet (UV) band of the electromagnetic spectrum is one of the direct tracers of recent star formation. We have initiated a study of AGN feedback in one of the active galaxies, NGC 1566, utilizing high-resolution UV observation from UltraViolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) onboard AstroSat. The preliminary findings of this study will be presented here. |
