Title: “Unpacking gender to understand the gendered culture of science: A queer feminist take”
Bio of Speaker: Chayanika Shah is a teacher, educator and gender studies researcher based in Mumbai. She has taught Physics to undergraduate students for more than two decades. Her work since retiring voluntarily in 2008 has mainly revolved around feminist studies of science, science education, sexuality and gender studies. In this period she has co-authored two books “No Outlaws in the Gender Galaxy” (Zubaan Books) and “Space, Segregation, Discrimination: The Politics of Space in Institutions of Higher Education” (Yoda Press).
