The seventh session of WGGE took place on 22 February 2021 in an online mode as part of the 39th annual meeting of the ASI. Over 60 participants joined in the Zoom session, while around 30 participants joined the YouTube Live channel, bring the total attendance to nearly 100! The current Chair of the WGGE, Preeti Kharb, started the session by thanking the ASI Secretary and Executive Council members for being proactive about carrying out a gender audit of the ASI meeting participants and speakers. She went on to introduce the two keynote speakers of the session, Prof. Shobhana Narasimhan from JNCASR, and Prof. Prajval Shastri from IIA (retd.). WGGE member, Prof. Harvinder Jassal, presented a brief update on the WGGE Questionnaire that has received a good response from ASI members. The complete analysis of the results from this Questionnaire will be presented in a talk soon. Finally, the virtual floor was opened for discussion and there was an engaging conversation between the speakers and the audience members. The entire session was recorded and can be found here.
