Outreach and Education Activities
The 44th Annual Meeting of the Astronomical Society of India will be hosted by IIT Guwahati from 15-19 May 2026. Similar to what has been during the past 10 annual meetings, the ASI's Public Outreach and Education Committee (POEC) has assembled a number of diverse set of outreach activities in the city of Guwahati and elsewhere in the North-East. The aim of this program is to effectively utilise the presence of more than 650 astronomers in Guwahati for the benefit of the local student and teacher communities, as well as the general public.
