Abstract : The Ultra-violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) onboard India’s first dedicated multiwavelength satellite AstroSat performed a limited deep field survey of multiple regions of the sky in the ultra-violet spectrum. We carried out astrometry and photometry and presented the first-ever UVIT FUV catalog ’UVIT-cat’, consisting of UVIT observations in the far ultraviolet (FUV; 1300-1800 ̊A) and near ultra-violet (NUV; 2000 - 3000 ̊A) bands. UVIT has a superior spatial resolution of ≃ 1.2′′. ’UVIT-cat’ comprises a huge number of FUV sources in the coordinate range 0 − 360◦ along the right ascension, 0-40◦North and 0-20◦South of the Earth’s equatorial plane. The limiting AB magnitude for the F148W (CaF2-1) filter is ≃ 22.96 and contains the highest number of point sources and by far has the greatest sensitivity among the other 3 filters. The filters F154W (BaF2), F169M (Sapphire), and F172M (Silica) have limiting magnitude ≃ 23.18, 22.38, and 21.22 respectively. The final clean UVIT-cat catalog contains a large number of FUV sources with information about their position and photometric data. After cross-matching with the GALEX FUV database, the average positional offset for the F148W filter is ≃ 0.605′′. This catalog will be extremely useful for the scientific community to study ultraviolet sources such as hot stars, hot white dwarfs, star-forming galaxies, QSOs, etc. In this study, we perform statistical analysis on the UVIT FUV data and explain the final catalog.
