Abstract : We present a method for obtaining the coronal images of rapidly rotating stars by utilizing the rotational modulation observed in X-ray light curves. By considering the emission from stellar coronae as a poisson process and that the rotational modulation is purely a geometric phenomenon in which sections of the corona are obscured by the stellar photosphere, we were able to get coronal images of two fast rotating stars, AB Dor and LO Peg. The quiescent phase folded light curves show that the corona is not uniform. In the case of AB Dor, the quiescent corona appears to be dominated by the two large active regions. The corona of LO Peg shows a large coronal area that covers almost 60 degrees along longitude does not consist of active regions. Further, based on long-term X-ray observations of AB Dor gives the indications of the X-ray flip-flop cycle.
