Abstract : Lunar surface geochemistry is pivotal in deciphering the evolution of the Moon and its connection to the Earth-Moon formation event. It is also of importance for lunar exploration activities such as insitu resource utilization. Chandrayaan-2 Large Area Soft X-ray Spectrometer is generating elemental maps of the highest resolution enabling uniquely new views of the lunar geochemistry at unprecedented scales. Over the four years of operation, CLASS has the largest coverage ever in X-rays at the highest spatial resolution. We have derived maps of 15 km resolution for Mg, Al, Si and Fe for the Chandaryaan-3 landing site as well as other areas of interest. The new understanding from these high resolution maps will be discussed. Global maps of the major elements and its validation with ground truth points will also be discussed.
