Abstract : Outward propagating intenisty oscillations are a common observational feature in active region fan loops. From their propagation speeds people have identified them as slow magneto-acoustic waves. Their rapid damping has been studied extensively by many people. Some recent results indicate to different damping lengths when observed by different instruments at different spatial resolutions. This dependance of damping length on spatial resolution has not been explored before. Hence, data from Hi-C 2.1(High-Resolution Coronal Imager), AIA (Atmospheric Imaging Assembly) onboard SDO(Solar Dynamics Observatory) and EUI(Extreme Ultraviolet Imager) onboard Solar Orbiter are used (as they operate at different resolution) to calculate and compare damping lengths.
