Abstract : | Gravitational microlensing, an extraordinary astronomical phenomenon, provides a unique window to detect exoplanets in regions beyond the reach of conventional planet-finding methods. This presentation delves into the analysis of OGLE-2017-BLG-0380, an interesting microlensing event that unveils a binary planetary system composed of a primary host with a median mass of 10.50 M_Jupiter, and a secondary object with a median mass of 3.08 M_Jupiter, both situated at a median distance of 2.14 kpc. These remarkable findings challenge existing theories of planetary formation, as they defy expectations regarding the formation of such low-mass planetary pairs. Furthermore, our model delivers comprehensive orbital parameters, offering exciting opportunities for validation by Extremely Large Telescopes (ELTs). Join me as we explore the mysteries hidden within a microlensing light curve, where science and wonder come together. |
