The LyC emission is detected with a detection significance of Signal-to- Noise (SNR) > 3. The absolute escape fraction (fesc) is > 10% for the detected sources, estimated using the observed Far-Ultraviolet (FUV) flux and the Hα line flux. The rest-frame FUV wavelength of the detected LyC sources falls in the Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) range ~ 600 Å. The detection was possible because of the higher sensitivity of UVIT compared to the other space telescopes currently operational in FUV bands. The identified sample of LyC leakers at 1.0 < z < 1.5 would be crucial in understanding the redshift evolution of LyC leakers. This is the first sample of LyC leakers at 1.0 < z < 1.5 after the only detection within this redshift range at z~1.4 by (Saha et. al., 2020). |
