These YSOs, situated at the end of their pre-main sequence lifetime, represent a new class with Fullerene signatures. Our study proposes a link between these objects and the aromatic evolution near B-type pre-main sequence (PMS) stars. We postulate a bottom-up formation scenario in which hydrogenated amorphous carbons (HACs) act as precursors, evolving into long-chain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and Fullerenes. This process primarily occurs near young planetary nebulae (PNes), as suggested by Cami et al. (2018). Over a few million years, the extended PAH molecules disperse into the interstellar medium (ISM). When B-type stars form in proximity, photodissociation of PAHs occurs. Larger PAHs (Nc > 60) transition into Fullerenes, as proposed by Berné & Tielens (2012). Due to C_60's enhanced stability, it accumulates near newly formed B-type stars and their protoplanetary disks. |
