The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with substantial experience and achievements in the area of astronomy/ astrophysics/physics, capable to fulfill the objectives of the institute and dedicated to these fields of research in the country. The Director will be appointed after obtaining the approval of the Competent Authority based on the recommendations made by a Search-cum-Selection Committee.
