The 40th Annual Meeting of the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) was held from 25th to 29th of March 2022.

The main ASI meeting was from the 26th to the 29th of March. The one-day workshops, which are a regular and popular feature of the ASI meetings, were held on the 25th of March.

The meeting was held in Hybrid mode and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Online as well as In-Person attendees.

The ASI 2022 was hosted jointly by IIT-Roorkee and ARIES at the campus of IIT-Roorkee. 

The ASI was established in 1972, so this meeting marked its 50th year. We had enthusiastic participation in this meeting.

The meeting was open to all ASI members, as well as Researchers and Students in Astronomy & Astrophysics or related areas, affiliated with Research Institutions/Universities/Colleges.
