Abstract : | The larger effective area of AstroSat/LAXPC at high energies compared to its predecessor RXTE, and the simultaneous low energy spectral coverage by AstroSat/SXT has opened a new window into our understanding of the energy dependent rapid variability of X-ray binaries. This has produced not only some important results,
but has brought to attention some new questions. Intriguingly, some of these new questions are more like puzzles, since it seems we have all the information to solve them, but yet reasonable answers remain illusive. I will describe these puzzles, which if not solved by the time of the talk, maybe taken as challenges by
interested people who should only require basic knowledge of physics and physical intuition. |
