Abstract : | TCP J18224935-2408280 is a transient discovered by Tadashi Kojima in May 2021. Follow up spectroscopic observations by J. Merc et al. 2021 and E. Aydi et al. 2021 suggested that it can be a symbiotic star undergoing an outburst. We present our spectroscopic observations from the Himalayan Chandra Telescope (HCT), confirming its symbiotic nature based on the Raman-scattered O VI band. This outburst is of the Z And-type. Using GAIA and ASAS-SN data, we find the orbital period to be ~765 days. Also, we discuss how the nature of the hot and cool components of the system can be constrained using spectral analysis. |
