Abstract : | In this work, we present light curves and early phase spectra of two normal type Ia supernova - SN 2019np and SN 2021wuf observed with the 2.0 m Himalayan Chandra Telescope and 0.7 m Growth India Telescope. We perform Monte Carlo radiative transfer simulation with Tardis and compare it with early phase spectra of these objects to understand their chemical stratification. We also carry out time-dependent three-dimensional Monte Carlo simulation with SEDONA to generate synthetic light curves and find their explosion parameters like - the mass of radioactive 56-Ni synthesized, the ejected mass in the explosion, and the kinetic energy of the explosion. We compare our results with three-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations of exploding white dwarfs to understand the physical processes involved in the explosion and their progenitor properties. We further try to find out if the ejecta properties are all similar or are there any differences within the class of normal SNe Ia. |
