UVIT has an angular resolution of 1.8 arcsec, which is almost three times better compared to its predecessor Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX), and thus it is expected to detect many new UV sources. The construction of the UVIT source catalog is in progress. The detailed methodology of source detection, astrometry correction, and source photometry carried out while constructing the UV point source catalog will be discussed, and a UV point-source list from a few UVIT observations will be presented. |
