The array, in its final state, will consist of 1024 6m dishes arranged in a compact layout. In this talk, I will provide a status update on the array layout, dish, active feed and RFoF design, correlator and the various proposed backend. I will describe the various characterization activities taking place at various collaborating institutes and how they feed into the design process to minimize systematics as much as possible. I will conclude with plans for the upcoming dish verification array, the 256 element pathfinder and provide a road-map for expansion to the 1024 element array. |
