4th National Conference on Recent Trends in the Study of Compact Objects: Theory and Observation
IUCAA is organizing a national conference on “Recent trends in the study of compact objects: Theory and Observation (RETCO)” during 17-19, April 2019. The conference will bring together researchers from all over India to discuss recent observational and theoretical progress made in understanding the physics of compact objects with special emphasis on the results from the AstroSat mission. The meeting will give ample opportunity to young researchers to present their work.
Topics to be covered:
1. Observational studies of accreting compact objects such as XRBs, AGNs using AstroSat and other observatories
2. Numerical and theoretical studies of compact astrophysical systems
3. Outbursting and Transient astrophysical phenomena
