Pressing for Progress 2019: A National Conference towards Gender Equity in Physics by the Indian Physics Association, hosted by the University of Hyderabad during 19-21 September 2019.
The IPA Conference will be a first-of-its kind national meeting in which both physics-related and sociology of physics-related topics will be deliberated. It is intended to serve as a forum wherein physicists, Masters level and up, will draw inspiration from keynote talks by eminent women physicists, have an opportunity to present their research in multiple sub-disciplines, and deliberate on ways of promoting gender equity in physics including participation in immersive, interactive workshops.
The conference will be open to people of all genders, physicists as well as others engaged in the issue of gender equity in science, based on the merit of the application to the conference. Submission of abstract(s) on physics research and/or on topics related to promoting gender equity in physics are encouraged.
