We are delighted to announce the Young Astronomers' Meet 2026 (YAM-2026) hosted by Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad. The conference will take place from December 21st to 23rd, 2026.
YAM-2026
YAM aims to provide a dynamic platform for young researchers across the fields of Astronomy and Astrophysics to share research, ideas, and innovations, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.
Eligibility Criteria:
Registered Ph.D. or Integrated Ph.D. candidates in any branch of astronomy and astrophysics at Indian universities or institutes.
Candidates must NOT have defended their thesis at the time of the event.
Fields covered in the conference:
- Stars, ISM and Astrochemistry in Milky Way
- High-energy phenomena, Fundamental physics and Astronomy
- Sun, Solar system, Exoplanet and Astrobiology
- Galaxies and Cosmology
- Facilities, Technologies and Data Science
Important Dates of the conference:
- Registration and abstract submission starts: 20th August 2026
- Deadline for abstract submission: 15th September 2026
- Announcement of abstract acceptance: 5th October 2026
- The conference dates: 21-23 December 2026
Accommodation and Travel support:
Accommodation will be arranged for the selected outstation candidates at PRL guest house and nearby hotels.
Travel support will be provided, on request, to a limited number of participants preferably to the university students, depending on the availability of funds.
