Greetings.
Given the current pandemic situation, the Ministry of Education along with AICTE, and NTA (for conducting the examinations), have decided to offer the ARPIT 2019 courses for ARPIT 2020. Accordingly the course on "Stars and Stellar systems" which IUCAA NRC had made last year with the help of many leading researchers in the field, is being offered as ARPIT 2020. The course material are presently available via SWAYAM. The course covers stars and stellar evolution (Sarita Vig), stellar variability (Sukanta Deb), stars and cosmology (Sivarani Thirupathi), star clusters and star formation (Ram Sagar and Manoj Puravankara), compact stars (Dipankar Bhattacharya), astrophysics of neutron stars (Sushan Konar), binary stellar systems (Sudip Bhattacharyya, ), the Sun (Dibyendu Nandi, Durgesh Tripathi and Divya Oberoi), helio- and astero-seismology (Shravan Hanasoge) and extra-solar planets (Anwesh Majumdar).
