An IIA-50 Conference - Advances in Observations and Modelling of Solar Magnetism and Variability
1 – 4 March, 2021
First Announcement

As part of a series of events celebrating the Golden Jubilee year of The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (https://www.iiap.res.in/IIA50/), a solar physics conference titled “Advances in Observation and Modelling of Solar Magnetism and Variability” is being organised by IIA and will be held during 1 – 4 March, 2021. The meeting will be in a hybrid format — in person for members of IIA and virtual participation  in an online platform for all external participants. Focus will be on science addressed by the major projects that IIA is involved with --  the upcoming space mission Aditya-L1 of ISRO for which the primary instrument VELC is being completed at IIA and the proposed ground-based National Large Solar Telescope (NLST) that IIA is leading, and also on science from the  long term synoptic programmes at the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory. This meeting will seek international participation, but the primary aim is to bring the national solar physics community together to take stock of the developments in the field and to prepare for maximising science output from the upcoming facilities.

Registration and abstract submission for the conference opens from 20 December, 2020.

Please visit the conference web-site https://www.iiap.res.in/solar_2021/ for further details.
Important Dates:
