The Physics Department at IISER Kolkata has several Postdoctoral Fellowships on offer in areas outlined in the attached PDF file.
I am specifically looking for a postdoctoral fellow in any of the following disciplines or at their intersection:
a) Solar Physics (solar magnetism, atmospheric dynamics, space weather, both theory and observational aspects)
b) Computational Astrophysics (applications of HD, MHD modelling in any domain of astrophysics)
c) Exoplanetary and Planetary Sciences (star-planet interactions, hydrodynamic modelling of exoplanet formation, atmospheric modelling or atmospheric retrieval, atmospheric evolution).
If you know of any suitable candidate(s) in your group, who has submitted their PhD thesis or are expected to submit their thesis within the next couple of months, please inform them of this opportunity.
We encourage independence of thought and pursuit, and development of new directions of research under-represented in the Indian context; opportunities for collaborative research with other scientists within or outside India exist.
