NIT Rourkela is organizing an IUCAA sponsored workshop on “New Frontiers in Astronomy and Astrophysics” during 8-12 December, 2025.
Objective:
The proposed workshop targets graduate/undergraduate students, PhD students and college/university teachers to familiarize them with the cutting-edge research, particularly in the area of Astronomy and Astrophysics in India through lectures and hands-on sessions.

- Stellar Astrophysics
- Solar Physics
- Gravitational Wave and Cosmology
- Exoplanets

Travel and accommodation:
There will be no registration fee. Local hospitality, including lodging will be covered as per IUCAA norms. Limited travel support (round-trip, AC-3 tier train fare) will be provided to participants from colleges/universities with no other source of funding.
